Planned Giving

By making a charitable gift through your estate, you ensure that Portsmouth Music and Arts Center will continue to transform lives long into the future.

Please consider including Portsmouth Music and Arts Center in your estate plans by:

  • Including a bequest naming PMAC in your will or trust.
  • Naming PMAC as a beneficiary of your bank or investment account, IRA, or other retirement account.
  • Using life insurance to make a gift to PMAC or designating PMAC as a beneficiary.

Gifts realized from bequests and other planned giving instruments may be directed to PMAC’s Tuition Aid Fund or general operating fund.

We welcome the opportunity to discuss your plans and the specific needs of Portsmouth Music and Arts Center and encourage you to contact Russ Grazier at russ@pmaconline.org.

SAMPLE LANGUAGE

Remembering Portsmouth Music and Arts Center (PMAC)  in your will or trust can be easily accomplished with the designation of a specific dollar amount or other property. You may also designate PMAC to receive a specified percentage of your estate assets.

The following are examples of statements that you may use to remember PMAC in your will or trust:

“I give and bequeath to Portsmouth Music and Arts Center (TAX ID 22-3883953), 973 Islington Street, Portsmouth, New Hampshire, the sum of $________ (or specific asset or _____ percent of the remainder of my estate) to be used for its general charitable purposes.”

If you choose to restrict your bequest gift to a specific program, you would say “to be used for _____________.”

For a restricted gift you should also add language as follows:

“If the program that I have designated for this gift is no longer offered by Portsmouth Music and Arts Center, then the board of directors of PMAC has the right to redirect the funds to a need that is close to my original intent.”
